Falling Forward 2019

Your runway to closet guide on this season’s fashion trends.

FALLING FORWARD 2019:

YOUR RUNWAY TO CLOSET GUIDE ON THIS SEASON’S FASHION TRENDS.

It’s officially the end of the first week of fall, and it is still amazing me how fast time has flown by!

The weather is starting to cool down here in LA, and it’s about time to ditch our summer shorts and pull out (my favorite) THE SWEATERS!
This season, we’ve seen some amazing runway trends. So, let’s take a look at some ways we can adapt these high fashion pieces into our everyday closets…

Trend # 1: THE POWER SUIT

The Power Suit is being seen all over runways this season. This modern take on classic workplace wear is an excellent way to take command of the room the second you walk in. A power suit says “Confidence,” “Strength,” and gives an all around “I mean business feel.” Perfect for a brunch with the “gals” or even a night out on the town. Seen on both Proenza Schouler and Givenchy runways this 2019 fall season.

Trend # 2 : SATIN EVERYTHING

The amount of satin I’ve seen this fall is INSANE! The best part? There are so many ways to wear it! Adding a satin dress or skirt to your wardrobe is the perfect way to add at touch of “Hollywood Glamour” to your outfits this season! Headliners include Versace and Giorgio Armani.

TREND # 3 : ASYMMETRICAL ANGLES

Asymmetrical Neckline’s are DOMINATING runways this year! This modern take on a “off the shoulder” top accents The collarbone perfectly. Seen this year on Kate Spade, Carolina Herrera and more! Better yet, in Lilac? Lilac and orchid shades are everywhere this autumn!

Trend # 4 : OVERSIZED OUTERWEAR

Let’s just say that longline coats have definitely not been in short supply this season! Honestly, I’m not surprised, they are a great way to add a touch a high fashion to the simplest of outfits. Oversized coats are super versatile, and can be worn from day to night! If you’re on the hunt for an oversized coat to add to your wardrobe, make sure to check out Zara for an awesome selection that is perfect for fall.

Thanks for tuning in, and HAPPY SWEATER SEASON!

XO, KATIE
